Sleep disorders don’t just cause drowsiness, there are other risks which can be life threatening and some which can be simply annoying. There are several types of sleep disorders to consider:
- Insomnia
- Sleep Apnea
- Restless Legs Syndrome
- Narcolepsy
Depending on the person and your situation these sleep disorders can be mild to extreme. For the purpose of this post we are going to focus on the milder cases, most of which can be caused from time change, jet-leg,stress from work, worry etc.
For any situation which involves loss of sleep please consult your physician should it persist.
Recently one of our friends mentioned he had been doing an abnormal amount of work related travel. Up until two weeks ago this was causing him loss of sleep due to different time zone changes.
During one of his flights he had the opportunity to read a magazine article, from one of the popular Men’s health publishers, which mentioned lack of sleep for travelers.
Apparently the article mentioned the use of healing music as a prescription to help your body relax and your brain be soothed into a slight meditative state. The article went on to say during a recent study of 20 travelers the effects of music assisting in improving sleep patterns was amazingly successful.
After reading the article he decided Read more »
A few days ago my wife enlisted my help in painting our bathroom. Anyone who knows me understands I really don’t like to paint or wallpaper. It is like watching glue dry I can’t stand it.
With my current physical limitations due to a spine injury years back, there are not many tasks I can do, as well chronic pain limits my abilities. Just the same she thought I would be able to handle painting the bottom half of two small walls.
Considering everything she does for me and our family I didn’t want to let her down so I decided to help out as best I could.

Painting With Music
I started out painting where possible, after all Read more »
As you are aware H1N1 flu has been one of the top stories in the news over the past several months.
Recently we have been hearing of vaccine shortages and an increase in H1N1 confirmed cases – we have even been exposed to news of young people dying of this particular flu strand.
All of this influx of information is starting to take its toll on our mental state of mind. In my family we have 4 children and 3 grandchildren to be concerned about – when you can’t control whether your loved one becomes infected with the H1N1 virus or not, it can be very trying on your patience level.
For months I have been writing of the uses of healing music and relaxation music techniques but recently I have lost myself in the stress of everyday life.
It was just in the past few days I was reminded of the importance of healing music in unusual circumstances such as the current pandemic. Read more »

As a music connoisseur, it has always been my understanding that listening to Mozart would increase your IQ and then in later years the idea was expanded from Mozart to all types of Healing Music Compositions.
Early researchers completed studies with groups of children and adults in an attempt to prove listening to Mozart increased their IQ. One such study was completed by the University of California,Irvine – this research study concluded that children who listened to Mozart during study activities usually scored higher than those children who listened to other music or no music.
As marketers got a hold of this notion of Mozart increasing IQ’s the results of such research have been over emphasized to such a point that marketers gave their spin of research results just so they could sell related products.

When it comes to Healing Music, Relaxation Music, Teenage Stress, Dog Relaxation Music – basically anything we have been writing about up until now, we have had a breakdown in productivity. It seems other projects and writers block have taken over for quite some time now.
While working on projects, not related to this part of the business (Pro Marketing Resource), we would often listen to Healing Music as it would help to bring our creative skills to the forefront so we could share our talents with you.
As time and energy permitted we would often settle ourselves into a quiet space in an effort to figure out our next project for Healing Music Emporium. Of course many times with little success – until now.Today as we started our journey through another great day it hit us like a ton of bricks (not that we know what a ton of bricks feels like and would prefer not to find out
), of all things we have gotten away from – using this creative music while working on our Healing Music Reports. No wonder we are distracted, it is not much wonder why we have writers block.
Within one hour of coming to this realization we had a great start on a report related to healing music. We will share that material with you tomorrow.
Awhile back we mentioned we had a mystery artist being showcased and although he may believe we have forgotten him, we would like to apologize and ensure our mystery artist, as well our readers, we have not forgotten about our comittment to unveil our mystery artist and his talents.
He is a Read more »
