Why Listen To Relaxing Music at Christmas Time?
WOW! – Did you see the crowd at the shopping mall on Saturday?
Economic slowdown – well I understand the numbers and statistical reports say so but the crowds in the stores certainly don’t back that up.
On Saturday we were around the hustle and bustle all day long, running here and running there. You probably understand when I say crowds can really stress you out. There are times when I would rather shop online instead of make my way through crowds of complaining, pushy people.
Ah but wait – not everyone is like that, there really are kind, thoughtful people even at the shopping centers at Christmas time. There was one gentleman I noticed standing nearby patiently waiting for his wife and daughter. With all that took place that afternoon I couldn’t help but say something to this gentleman – “Excuse me Sir, but I couldn’t help but notice you standing here patiently waiting while everyone around you seems so stressed.”
He quietly whispered “I listen to relaxing Music this time of year – it helps me to deal with my wife in these stores.” Of course I couldn’t help but laugh and answer “I do the same thing year round.” Now my wife who was listening to this conversation took my comment completely the wrong way because I meant I listen to relaxing music year round not so I can deal with her.
Now of course since I didn’t clarify this at the time of talking to this kind man then I must have meant it the way he said it but only year round not just at Christmas time.
At this point I realized what had just happened so do you know what happened next?
I went to the car sat in the passenger seat of the car while my wife drove AND decided I had better listen to relaxing music right away, because no matter what I said just didn’t make it sound any better. You need to know this music really works at all times but especially in stressful situations.
