I received a call last night from a frustrated acquaintance, wondering why their email hasn’t been answered from last week.
This morning I opened up my email and there were a couple of messages from two other contacts wondering why their emails were being ignored! To add to this new email challenge, yesterday I showed up for an online meeting only to find it was canceled – LAST FRIDAY – and yes I received the email notice on this one too but missed it.
Has this ever happened to you?
How many emails do you get in one day?
Have you ever been faced with this challenge yourself?
Emotions start to flood over you, the feeling of you being unreliable, worried that people will lose faith in you, angry at yourself for letting this happen, these are to name a few.
It is at this point you have had enough and once again it is time to clean up your email and re-organize your email files.
Today you decide to put all low priority tasks on hold, so you can get this micro project out of the way. Now sitting in front of your computer and staring at the screen is not going to help you out but what else can you do? You are overwhelmed by the disorganized clump of emails and the further you look into things the worse the picture gets – you can’t believe you missed 9 other important messages.
Which email is a priority today – how do I get started?
How many people have I upset now?
and so on and so on….
Hold on! – it is at this point you need to sit back and take a few deep breaths as you are probably starving your body and mind for oxygen considering the stress you are under. Next go grab yourself a hot drink and put on some relaxing music. Not just any relaxing music – put on some healing music.
You want to keep the volume of the music at a level, which will be comfortable for your situation and for you personally.
Now go back to what you started; organizing your emails. This is the very same thing I did, just as I am advising you to do and all I can say is WOW!
Your productivity will sore, your thinking is clearer, your body will be more relaxed bringing you in balance with mind and body. Suddenly what seemed like such a negative challenge is now equivalent to that of a game. Ideas flow like the current of a river – unbelievable results – done in record time.
The results I enjoyed, when doing the same task as mentioned here:
- De-stressed my body
- My breathing was clearer and natural deep breathes
- My mind and body were in balance, giving me the energy I needed to get this task done effortlessly
- What used to take me at least one hour (due to high volume) took me 40 minutes this time.
If you could save 20 minutes for each hour of work, that would be huge savings of time. (37.5% to be exact) Just imagine increasing your productivity by 37.5% in one day through accepting healing music into your daily routine.
Still a skeptic, not quite sure what to think – that is fair enough, take some time to think it over and during this time go to the following link to hear Marks story and then listen to his story he recorded and some of his music samples at MarkRomeroMusic
Sincerely,
Carl Tambeau
