Weight loss has to be one of the biggest New Years resolutions, if not the biggest.
Where does quitting smoking rank on the New Years Resolution scale?
I believe quit smoking has to be close to the top of the resolution scale or possibly a tie with weight loss.
Both of these results are the effect of strong additions. Some experts believe quitting smoking is tougher than an addict kicking a heroine habit.
One of Elvis Presley s songs “All shook up” has a phrase which is so true when quitting smoking, even though his song was not about this very subject, the phrase is “My insides shake like a leaf on a tree.“ Anybody who has ever smoked for a length of time and attempted to quick knows this very feeling.
Even though there are dozens of product aids on the market to help you to quit smoking, your insides still shake like a leaf on a tree, at least a few times throughout the process.
Keep in mind your results will always vary from others who have quit smoking. Everyone has a different reason for quitting, different support systems in place and so on.
Product aids can only help to a certain point, will-power is the biggest part of the process. You have to want to quit, not feel as if you have to or because your significant other is upset with you since you smoke.
There are many times when quitting smoking, you will be constantly at war with yourself, due to a raging of internal emotions.
Can You Break Through These Emotional Barriers?
Healing Music is one of the tools that would be a great addition in helping you to quit smoking. This type of music calms the central nervous system which controls your emotions.
Through the use of healing music, when quitting smoking, the brain is stimulated by the music which helps to get you through your cravings, by refocusing your brain in a positive manner.
I have witnessed the positive effects that Healing Music has on quitting smoking. My wife, a smoker of 26 years, has made three serious attempts to quit smoking.
She has tried the patch and acupuncture, which works for some people but not her. Another attempt was through the use of the patch and hypnotherapy; again this method works for some but had no effect for her challenges. Her final attempt to quit smoking was through the use of the nicotine patch by itself.
All of her attempts to quit ended in what she thought was failure at the time but really it was just one step closer to the real event. During the time she was attempting to quit, the stress in her body was too intense, even with the product aids, the stress outweighed the goal.
The grand finale was a month and a half ago, my wife didn’t use any product aids, just plain old will-power and listening to healing music. She has been smoke free for 6 solid weeks and still going strong.
Have there been some challenges this time?
Definitely there has been, the difference this time compared to all other times is, she is listening to healing music while quitting smoking. In the past her moods were intense but this time around something seems to be different. She uses the music to break through the emotional barriers she could not get through before.
